The research was based on studies published in scholarly journals examining the economic impact of failing toinsure U.S. children. Researchers estimate that nearly eight million children inthe U.S. are and the nation ranks thirdd among the 30 industrialized members of the Organizationj for Economic Cooperation and Development in percentage ofuninsuree citizens.
