Currently serving as vice president for public affairs and communications at Tufts Medical Centefrin Boston, she came into her role last year at an importanyt period in the hospital’s history: In she led a major rebranding effort at the formerly known as Tufts-New England Medical Center and whose roots date back to 1796. The breadthj of that campaign hasbeen wide-ranging — from the institution’se signage to its Web site to its collaterao materials. She said an importanr goal was to increase consumer awareness of the alliancwe between Tufts Medical Centetrand . “I learned that it is important to sweaytthe details, ” said Tyson Hynes.
She’s had a numbe of positive role models alongthe way, and Tyson Hynezs is a strong proponent of mentoring younger co-workers. “It’se just good karma. ... I feel a lot of peopl e put that out theresfor me, so I should give that Tyson Hynes also credits her involvement with the Trinity Church in Boston with helping her to solidift her connection to Boston. She served as a youty mentor with the churchy from 2002to 2006, and led two public-service tripxs for high school students to Honduras. In her off-worjk hours, Tyson Hynes also enjoyse spending time withher husband, attorney Bob cooking, and socializing with the network of friends she’ s made in the Boston area.
