The success of the A300 led tothe company’s firstr family of aircraft, the A300/A310. Givingv the go-ahead for the A300 was a bold strategi decision,” Airbus CEO and President Tom Enders said ina “The pioneering spirit of our engineers, as well as Airbus’ continuouds strive for innovation and international have made us a global market leader and at the same time a symbol for successfu European cooperation.” The original aircraft was a collaborative effort betweej France and Germany. Today, Airbus is headquarteresd in Toulouse, France. It also has manufacturing facilitiein Germany, the U.K. and Spain as well as subsidiaries in theUnited States, China, Japan and the Middle East. Airbus operates an engineerinb officeon Wichita’s Old Town area.
