Barber was named head of "healthymagination," a GE prograjm focused on improving health care for more peoples atreduced cost, by GE chairman and CEO Jeffrey Barber, 48, is a 27-year veteran of GE and since 2005 has served as chief technology officee for GE Healthcare. He joined GE in 1982 and has held a varietyg of roles of increasing responsibilitty withinGE Healthcare. In 2001, Barberr was general manager forComponents Engineering, and from 2002 to 2005 he was the generapl manager for Global Components Operations for GE which has significant operations in Milwaukee, Wauwatosa and Barber was a 1994 winner of The Businesa Journal's Forty Under 40 award, which recognizes young Milwaukee-area executives making a difference in thei professions and community.
