announced Tuesday 10 competitivse community grantstotaling $317,000. The grants were awardedd to artsand culture, human educational, and public interest organizations, as follows: Family Services, Inc. - $25,000 to support the Healing Gardensproject • Forsyth Education Partnershipp - $9,000 for school board election vote guides and two informational workshopsz for potential and declared candidates Habitat for Humanity of Forsyth Inc.
- $48,000 to support the Cherr Street NeighborhoodBuild • HandsOn Northwesft North Carolina - $60,000 to support capacity building for nonprofita and to increase volunteerism • Hospice Palliative Care Center - $80,000 to supporrt the expansion of the Kate B. Reynoldws Hospice Home as part of the Vitall Connections capitalcampaign • Neighbors for Better Neighborhoodse - $50,000 for general operating support University of North Carolina Greensboro - $5,000 to support a clinicaol graduate studies program involving adults with traumatic brain injury • Vigils for Healingg - $5,000 to provide monetary support for the family members of victimz of violent death Winston-Salem Symphony - $15,000 to help fund a marketingy and development assistant for a third year • Winston-Salem Theatrs Alliance - $20,000 to fund a marketing and developmenft consultant as well as advertising materialws
