Mayor Thomas M. Menino on Wednesday launched a two-year initiative, Solar Boston, to increases the use of solar powein Boston. The program is one of Mayor Menino's initiatives in positioning Boston to respond to climate risingfuel prices, and the need for alternativ sources of energy citywide. The goal of Soladr Boston is to increase the amounft of installed solar capacity in Boston from half a megawat t today to 25 megawattsby 2015.
